Job Description – IVD Sales and Application Specialist

Reports To: Sales Manager

Role Summary

 

The IVD Sales and Application Specialist is responsible for promoting and selling IVD products (analyzers, reagents, consumables), providing product application support to customers, and ensuring end-to-end customer satisfaction. This role combines sales achievement with technical expertise, including product demonstrations, training, troubleshooting, and collaboration with service teams. The position also involves market development, customer relationship management, and execution of sales strategies to strengthen the company’s presence in the diagnostics market.

 

Key Responsibilities

1. Sales & Business Development

            •          Achieve assigned sales targets for IVD products.

            •          Identify and develop new business opportunities in hospitals, laboratories, and diagnostic centers.

            •          Conduct product presentations, demonstrations, and customer negotiations.

            •          Support in tender management, pricing strategy, and contract follow-ups.

2. Application & Customer Support

            •          Provide pre- and post-sales application support for IVD systems (hematology, chemistry, immunoassay, molecular, histopathology).

            •          Deliver customer training, product demonstrations, and workflow optimization.

            •          Troubleshoot application-related issues and coordinate with service engineers for solutions.

            •          Ensure high-level customer satisfaction and act as a technical resource for clients.


3. Customer Management

            •          Build and maintain strong relationships with key accounts and decision-makers.

            •          Address customer inquiries, complaints, and requests in a timely manner.

            •          Work closely with internal teams to provide integrated customer solutions.

4. Market Intelligence & Reporting

            •          Monitor competitor activities, market trends, and customer needs.

            •          Prepare monthly sales and application reports, forecasts, and pipeline updates.

            •          Provide feedback to management for product and strategy improvements.

Qualifications & Requirements

Education:

            •          B.Med Tech (or) other medical/biological science-related field.

Experience:

            •          Minimum 3–5 years of experience in IVD, laboratory diagnostics, or medical devices.

            •          Prior experience in product application or customer support is highly preferred.

 

Skills & Competencies:

            •          Strong knowledge of IVD systems and laboratory workflows.

            •          Excellent communication, presentation, and training skills.

            •          Proven ability to build strong customer relationships and achieve sales targets.

            •          Good analytical and problem-solving abilities.

            •          Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) and CRM tools.

            •          Good command of English (spoken & written).

Other Requirements:

            •          Willingness to travel frequently within Myanmar.
